Everyone loves Brett stories, so here’s a quick update. He just used his Spanish skills to successfully sweet talk (and bribe!) local Panama police into letting a few folks from his hostel be released from jail. I, personally, would want to stay as far away from Central American jails as possible, so Brett seems a bit crazy for voluntarily getting involved in the situation. Of course, he’s a generous, kind soul and I’d be so incredibly thankful to have him there if I was ever the one to end up in some foreign prison. Yay Brett, his Spanish skills, and his generous soul!
